Flight Logistics - Paperless Cockpit updates
This site will be significantly changed in the next few weeks, but for now you will find updates for the Windows Mobile Paperless Cockpit product on this page.
If you need to contact us, please email us at techsupport@flightlogistics.co.uk
Update files for Paperless Cockpit running on the Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 platform are below. These files should be downloaded and saved onto your PC. Connect your PDA to your PC and copy these files into "\Program Files\Paperless Cockpit" on your mobile device, replacing the files that are already there. Make sure that the program is not running when you do this.
Note: You can delete "UKOFFSHOREWaypoints.sdf", and "paperlesscockpitcore.dll" from the Paperless Cockpit folder (if they are there), as they are no longer needed.

Change List - Current version is 1.0.2.1
Changes from 1.0.1.9 to give 1.0.2.0
1) BUG FIX: Fixed a bug which meant that when you cleared a Flight, the Fuel rules changed from IFR to VFR.
2) Changed the word Route to the word Flight - it seems more appropriate - you go for a Flight and your Flight is made up of a route - "What's the route for this flight?" is a more common question than "What's the flight for this route?"
3) Changed the code to include Deck Fuel correctly - the program defaults to using the Deck Fuels, but gives you the option of changing this - see the Forums for a description of how the deck fuel is incorporated into the planning.
4) Added in a display of PaCoData and Waypoints verison numbers on the front screen.
Changes from 1.0.1.8 to give 1.0.1.9
1) Expanded the Best Case Worst Case mode with a variable which defines what the best case is - you can have "Front to Back" or "Centre out Favouring the Back" - this is for the EC155 which is best loaded from the centre seat outwards, favouring the rear seat.
2) Cosmetic changes to TIMES page.
Changes from 1.0.1.7 to give 1.0.1.8
1) If an aircraft is selected which has Crew Stations in its Configuration, but does not have Crew loaded in those stations, then a Form asking for the Crew Mass is shown straight after the Aircraft Selection Form.
2) The Aircraft Type file has been updated so that the following types allow you to manually distribute the passengers after you have loaded the aircraft - all S76 variants, EC155 and AW139.
This function is associated with the Aircraft Type file, so when you load an aircraft which has its "Load Pax Manually" flag set, then you will always get the form allowing you to distribute the pax. Currently the EC155, the AW139 and all the S76 aircraft will do this for you. The S92A and the AS332L will revert to Best Case/Worst Case. You can override this setting by going Menu-Route-'Load Pax for Best Case' - select 'NO').
3) Fixed a bug which meant that if you changed a destination waypoint mid route, the subsequent sector information was not correctly recalculated. (This resulted in me giving a totally rubbish payload over the radio - never trust computers :-) )
4) Changed PACODATA format - users must have this new version of the database!
5) Updated Bristow Aircraft information to the most recent values found in the BHL ZFW Manual - still to do G-IACB and CC and CD and CE.
When you look at the Aircraft Mass Data Info (Menu-Aircraft-'View Current Mass Data') you will notice that there is now information about where the Aircraft data came from - this will help you make sure that you are using the latest information.
6) Other cosmetic changes - the Planning Page now shows the MTOM and the DOM of the aircraft you are using.
You will eventually be able to overide the MTOM per sector and then back-calculate the fuel to allow you to do "How much fuel can I leave with to make sure I land at a certain mass on a deck?" This does not work yet... but is coming.
Changes from v1.0.1.6 to give v1.0.1.7
1) Added a Crosswind calculator and Conversions Tools to the Tools menu.
2) Fixed bug that caused the screen to screw up sometimes on 320 by 240 resolution screens
That's it for v1.0.1.7!
Changes from v1.0.1.5 to give v1.0.1.6
1) Cosmetic Change - added an option "Menu Bar at Top or Bottom" so that you can move the menu bar as you desire.
Someone anonymous (Glen) noticed that you could accidentally hit the menu key when trying to select one of the Tab pages. So I've added the option of moving the Menu key to the top of the screen. Happy Glen? (Having said that, I think there may be a bug in this...)
2) Added the ability to switch between Routes - there are currently three routes that you can select from.
This provides you with the facility to hold up to three totally independent routes in the device at one time. There is no connection between the routes whatsoever - you can even use a different aircraft for each route, and this allows you to hold the data for your active route - the one you are flying - whilst allowing you to plan for another route. And the third? Just because I can! :-) The code actually will allow as many routes as the device has memory, so if you want more... let me know.
4) Added the ability to clear a particular route, rather than all the routes.
Since you can have three independent routes, you can also independently clear each of of the routes.
5) Added a button on the main page which will quickly allow the user to switch routes.
This button is above the SET button at the lower left side of the screen. It allows you to select quickly between Route 1, 2, and 3 ("R1","R2",and "R3"). This button is only available on the Planning page, so if you want to change routes when you are on any other page, hit the Menu button, and on the Route page, you will see an option "Select Active Route:".
6) Changed the Aircraft Type information page to ask for IFR and VFR Fixed Reserves - Approach Fuel is no longer stored in the database.
The Aircraft Type file now stores information about IFR Fixed or Reserve Fuel amounts, and VFR Fixed/Reserve Fuel amounts. Approach Fuel is no longer requested.
For flights planned under IFR, IFR reserves plus 10% of fuel required to go to the Destination then to the Alternate are used.
For flights planned under VFR, VFR reserves plus 5% of fuel required to go to the Destination then to the Alternate are used.
7) Added the ability to change from VFR to IFR planning on the Menu page.
To change between using IFR planning rules to VFR planning rules (as described above), click on Menu, and on the Route page you will see an option IFR Rules or VFR Rules. Click on the desired button, and your route will be recalculated using the selected rules
8) Changed the Aircraft Type page to allow for auto load or manual load of passengers.
This is related to the Best Case/Worst Case loading scenario. Some aircraft may not suit this form of loading (for example the EC155), so if you set the Auto Load mode to False, you will get a list of pax stations when you load the passengers, and this will allow you to accurately distribute the passengers. NOTE THAT THIS CODE HAS NOT BEEN WRITTEN YET! This Load Mode will be associated with the Aircraft Type, so that the program will automatically know if an aircraft needs to change from Auto Load (providing the Best Case//Worst Case scenario) to Manual Load (providing a form allowing you to load the passengers exactly as you want them).
Changes from v1.0.1.4 to give v1.0.1.5
1) Bug Fix - the database supplied with the Evaluation version does not have a fuel table for the AS332L so the program crashes when you try and create a sector with a Tiger.
2) Changed the use of the "Show Best Case Arm/Worst Case Arm" logic.
If a change is made on the stations list to the passengers, the Load page will show "Best Case Arm:" or "Actual Load Arm:" and will show the Actual Arm.
3) Small Cosmetic change - when you enter a crew number from the Stations list, it will automatically drop down to the mass box after entering just one character - time saver.
4) Improved the logic controlling the colour used to display the EXCEED and the envelope graph colour.
Changes from v1.0.1.3 to give v1.0.1.4
1) Fixed bug that meant that you could not change the first waypoint - the departure point.
2) Fixed bug that meant you could try and set passenger loads on the Station page tab even when the load was zero.
